30 Day of Prayer Challenge
Day 1 "Let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying.... "(Neh 1.6) God, open me up to what you have for me in this season of my life. Prepare me for all that is coming my way. I want to be where You want me to be. I want to do what You want me to do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day 2 "It is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose." (Phil. 2.13) Today we pray for Your WILL and PURPOSE to be done at Christ Center as we prepare to build a facility that will serve and reach out to our entire VALLEY. I pray Your will be done in my life, too.
Day 3 "God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4.19) Father, I pray that You would help me to trust You to meet all of my needs. I pray that you would speak to me about MY PART in the new building project. Thank You for the richness of knowing and being loved by you.
Day 4 Today we pray for our pastoral staff. God, thank You for our church leadership. Please protect them and their families, encourage them, and bless them in every way!
Day 5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (James 1.5) Lord, today we pray for Your wisdom. Help me know what You want to do through me to accomplish Your will in my life and how I can be a part of accomplishing Your will for Christ Center.
Day 6 “For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Rom 12:4-5) Today we pray for all of our volunteers. We pray for the volunteers who serve our church & our community in countless duties & outreach projects. Thank You, God, for all our volunteers!
Day 7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Luke 11.9) Lord, in faith we ask today that You would give Christ Center everything it needs to build this church home. Open the doors that need to be opened.
Day 8 "You ought to say, 'If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.'" (James 4.15) Lord, we want what You want for Christ Center. Help us find Your will for our church. Help me know Your will for my life.
Day 9 “Today we pray for those who do not have a safe place to live, or a support system, or enough to eat— in our valley, in the US, and around the world. Lord, make our future church home a thriving outpost to serve and reach the poor for You!
Day 10 "Epaphras has been tireless in his prayers for you, praying that you’ll stand firm, mature and confident in everything God wants you to do." (Col. 4:12) Lord, make us tireless in our prayers for Christ Center, that we will stand firm and be confident in everything You want us to do.
Day 11 "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening." (1 Samuel 3.10) Today we pray that you would speak to us as a church family, Lord. Help me to listen for Your voice and to do what You ask.
Day 12 "Regarding the relief offering for poor Christians...each of you make an offering and put it in safekeeping. Be as generous as you can." (I Cor. 16.1-2) God, today we ask that you would multiply our personal and church storehouse to bless the poor. Let it overflow.
Day 13 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 Today we pray for our future neighbors at Christ Center. God, watch over and bless our neighbors. Strengthen their families and help us to know how to best love them. May their relationship with Christ Center be a blessing and draw them closer to You.
Day 14 "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" (John 6.9) Lord, in the way that only You can, multiply every dollar to make more of a difference for You than we could ever imagine on our own!
Day 15 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven....For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6.19-21) Lord, help me to want to store up treasures in heaven. Help me love You with my whole heart.
Day 16 Today we pray for our missionaries in Costa Rica. Please bless Justin, Grifyn and family as they spread the love of Jesus to the people of Costa Rica. Please provide the Benedict family a new vehicle as theirs is on its last leg. Thank You for stirring hearts at Christ Center to be generous and to change the lives of those far away.
Day 17 "Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God....Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Rom. 12.1) Lord, today we pray that You would help us see things differently and that we would live differently than the world. Transform my priorities, and show me Your perfect will for my life.
Day 18 "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others....For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had." (Mark 12.43-44) Lord, you can use any gift, no matter how big or small. Teach me to give in a way that actually makes a difference in my life and the life of someone else.
Day 19 "I'm not going to offer God, my God, sacrifices that are no sacrifice." (2 Sam. 24.24) Lord, we don't want to give You things that cost us little. Help us to honor and worship You in a meaningful way.
Day 20 "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." (2 Cor. 9.6) Today we pray that we as a church family and as individuals would be extremely generous people.
Day 21 Today we pray for our Christ Center Building Team as they seek to make Godly and responsible decisions for the future of our church. Help them and us to be good stewards of all You have given us.
Day 22 "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests....'Come, for everything is now ready.' But they all alike began to make excuses." (Luke 14.16-18) Lord, when You invite us to take part in Your plan, it is easy to make excuses. Help me to listen and to obey You, and then to enjoy a seat at Your table.
Day 23 "Go therefore and make disciples." (Matt. 28.19) God, today we thank You that Christ Center is changing many lives and making many disciples. Show me what I can do to further Your vision for my church!
Day 24 Today we pray for all those who are disconnected from You, those who have never even heard of Christ Center, who will someday walk through the doors of our church that they would find salvation, hope, healing, and wholeness in Jesus Christ.
Day 25 "You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." (2 Cor. 8.9) Thank you, Jesus, for giving up everything for me. Show me how I can use what You've given me to do what You want me to do.
Day 26 Today we pray for all of those who are working on our church home. God, give them Your favor and wisdom and safety as they work to build Your kingdom, literally and figuratively. And may our Christ Center family be a witness in all of our interactions with them.
Day 27 "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." (Phil. 4:12-13) Lord, give me the strength to be content in every situation, whether I have much or little.
Day 28 "This, then, is how you should pray. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matt. 6.9-10) Lord, You are great, and You have great plans for Christ Center. May Your will be done in this building project, in our church and in my life!
Day 29 "Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do." (Deut. 15.10) God, help me to give generously to You, and not so that You would bless me, but so that You would bless others through me.
Day 30 “How good & pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Ps 133:1 God grant our church family a full measure of unity. May we be “as one” in our love for you & each other.
