Steve Haney, Lead Pastor
Steve Haney grew up in the Wenatchee Valley and was radically saved as a teenager. He felt the Lord calling him to become a youth pastor in the Wenatchee Valley, and to that end he was Christ Center’s Youth Pastor from 1991-2012. Steve loves to see former students championing the Gospel in their spheres of influence. In 2012 Steve became the lead pastor at Christ Center. His heart is to reach people with the transforming power of Jesus Christ and to nurture their growth in Him. He loves hiking, running, soccer, racquetball and good Thai Food!

Steffanie Haney, Director of Adult Discipleship
Hi, I’m Steffanie and I am entrusted with the responsibility of adult discipleship at Christ Center. That’s a fancy way of saying I get to facilitate all of us adults learning to authentically follow Jesus. I love my family, coffee and chocolate. I came to know Jesus through the Sunday morning church experience and am passionate about continuing to follow this encouragement from the book of Hebrews in the Bible.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another- and all the more as you see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 12:12

Amber Vaughn, Director of Creative
I am so excited to be a part of the Christ Center team. Christ Center has played a huge role in my spiritual development over the last 17 years. Now it’s my turn to reinvest and use my gifts of creativity to guide people towards Jesus. I look forward to continuing to use visual design and creative arts to make an inviting atmosphere where we can spread the Good News and make disciples of Christ.
I attended Whitworth University in Spokane, WA after receiving my AAS degree while in high school from Wenatchee Valley College. I graduated from Whitworth with a double B.A. in Painting & Graphic design as well as with two minors, Theology and Psychology.

Nicole Hickman, Director of Worship
Nicole Hickman grew up in the pacific northwest before touring as a musician, and tour manager with the band I Am They, artist Holly Starr, and others. After a dozen years touring the world, she felt a Holy interruption by the Father to abide and trust Him in a new season: serving the local church in worship. Let’s go!!
Her heart is to be an apprentice of Jesus of Nazareth, ordering her life around three goals: be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Specific to directing songs of worship, her heart is one of reverent acceptance of the weighty responsibility that it is to lead the congregation in high praise of our God; submitted to the Holy Spirit and the house of God. She loves His church, and is expectant to see the Kingdom of God continue to come in Cashmere as it is in heaven!
“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:5

Taylor Sweigard, Director of Kids' Ministry
My husband and I both grew up in Cashmere and are now raising our two kiddos here. I have fond memories of attending church and Vacation Bible School as a child with my mom and aunt as leaders in children's ministry. Now that I am a mother, I value and understand the importance of discipling our children to have love for and faith in God. I am so honored and excited to serve Jesus through kids' ministry here at Christ Center, supporting parents and caregivers in their roles as well as loving on the students that walk through our doors. My family loves to spend time outside riding bikes, hiking and playing sports. I also love to read whenever I get the chance!
